The documentary "Childhood Land Siberia" continues the series of films about the deportations to Siberia, commited by the Soviet Union as part of an ethnic cleansing in its occupied lands in 1941. Some of the surviving children who were deported, now seniors, wish to visit the lands of their childhood in Siberia. They have experienced the cold and famine and have lost their families there, but it was their only childhood, with sun and snow, friends and people who helped them survive. Igarka – a town beyond the Arctic Circle, where Roberts, Andrejs, Nadežda, Anatolijs, and Inta were born in the 1950s. Their parents had been exiled there as children in 1941. Some managed to return to Latvia in 1956, others later. Nadja returned to Latvia with her little daughter only in 1993; her mother remained in the eternal frost. Anatolijs Taurenis did not return; Nadežda went to Igarka and found him. Inta's son went to his grandmother's place of exile because he wants to publish a book. The stories of the children of Igarka are varied. They do not want to talk about their childhood; the memories of their parents and grandparents are painful. They survived, and that is the main thing. Nadja calls her classmates in Russia every day. Others do not speak, some hang up because there is a war going on. Putin and television have convinced them.

The film uses delicacy and humor to describe the authoritarian functioning of a typically Brazilian 1950 family in Rio de Janeiro. The family is headed by a matriarch anxiously waiting for the night to hear Carlos Lacerda. The intense emotional plot highlights the absurdity of the characters' behavior.

This documentary follows a group of children in a rural kindergarten for a year, portraying a genuine learning process in the midst of nature.
